In Just less that 24 hours after the IG ordered the withdrawal of VIP Security details for those Hon Members deemed to have been suspected to be on the wrong side of the law, Bahati Mp Kimani Ngunjiri found himself as one of the first casualties.

The Mp who just last week gave the president Uhuru Kenyatta his piece of mind for ignoring the 10/10 covenant with Deputy President William Ruto, walked to the DCI HQs and surrendered his firearm moments after he was informed of his detail withdrawal.

The IG through a communiqué to the members of public, observed that majority of the VIPs who enjoy government security details end up misusing them and its high time the NPS cracks the whip. His order is seen a good move to the right direction as a majority of the VIPs have been taking advantage of their status to cause havoc to the local wananchi.

It is not clear under what circumstances warranted Ngunjiri’s security withdrawal as the orders affected those suspected to be in the wrong side of the law. “Wamechukua polisi wao na nomerudishia wao bunduki, Mungu na wananchi watanilinda” Ngundiri told the press.

Kenyans are still waiting to see who will be next in the order. Already those in public domain include Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa (Attempted murder) Embakasi East Mp Babu Owino (attempted murder), and also Governors charged with economic crimes.
