The much hyped February 14th Men’s Conference 2020 has been post postponed after a meeting between the organizers and the main sponsor, the KFCB.

The changes have been occasioned to allow the steering committee to work on logistics and avail details of venue, program and list of speakers in the coveted seating.

The change of date has been seen by analysts as a strategy to avoid a clash of dates between the men conference with that of the Women which was also set for the same date but hosted in resort town of Malindi, Kilifi County.

The organizers have prevailed upon the male folks to tone down as they prepare for the conference and advised that the main aim of the conference is not to set a competition against the women of Kenya as earlier depicted in the social media and other public galleries but shall be a platform to build brotherhood code 101.

According to the KFCB CEO and the key note speaker, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, the Conference will not be for machismo and holy bravado, but humility and commitment to embrace one another.

He further emphasized that the conference must and shall never be used to undermine women but to reclaim man’s lost glory in society. “A confident man is good for their women, society and country at large and will contribute more meaningfully to a better society”.

Mutua made the pronouncements in his office after preliminary consultations with Mr. Robert Bulare and other colleagues on the upcoming conference and decided to change the date to the week preceding the Valentine’s Day to prepare men to put to practice the resolutions of the conference by taking the women of their lives out for Valentine’s and treating them with love and dignity reversed for Queens.

As for the Women’s conference whose theme is “The Sister’s Keeper” no information has come out from the organizers on any changes. The Conference is being spearheaded by Kilifi Women Rep Gertrude Mbeyu and amongst the listed speakers are Betty Kyalo, Akothee, Mps Fatuma Gedi, Milly Odhiambo Alice Wahome and a surprise male speaker to be unveiled on the day.
