Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri has this morning surprised Kenyans with his latest technology aimed at fighting the dreaded Desert Locusts that are causing havoc in major parts of the Country especially in the Northern parts of Kenya.
Just last week Kenyans were treated to some spectacular bush combat when the police took to the duty of fighting the locust using teargas and live bullets fired to the swams.
In today’s media brief at his office, Kinjuri asked Kenyans to mark the insect pest. “If you see any insect that you suspect could be a locust, take a picture and post on social media so we can confirm for you what insect it really is,” he remarked.
Most Kenyans are still wondering if the CS is serious with eradicating the locust menace or if he really is upto the task of meeting the demands of the Ministry.
There has been an outcry from farmers on various issues ranging to lack of Market for produce, high rates of buying seed and fertilizer.
